Release Date:2025-12-19

Ultra-wide stainless steel plate generally refers to stainless steel plate with a width exceeding traditional specifications (such as 1219mm). Currently, mainstream widths in the market include 1500mm, 1800mm, 1900mm, and 2000mm. Its production requires advanced rolling equipment and processes. TISCO is one of the few domestic companies capable of producing cold-rolled stainless steel plate up to 2000mm wide. Using 1625mm and 2100mm wide cold rolling mills, it can roll plate with thicknesses ranging from 0.6-8.0mm, covering mainstream grades such as 304, 304L, and 316L. During the production process, molten steel undergoes vacuum refining to reduce inclusions and gas content, ensuring steel purity, thereby improving weldability and chemical composition uniformity.

Core Product Parameters and Classifications of Ultra-Wide Stainless Steel Plate

Main Materials and Implementation Standards

Ultra-wide stainless steel plate is primarily made of austenitic stainless steel. Common grades include 304 (0Cr19Ni9), 304L (00Cr19Ni10), and 316L (00Cr17Ni12Mo2). Its chemical composition is strictly controlled. For example, 304 stainless steel requires a Cr content of 18.0-20.0%, a Ni content of 8.0-10.5%, and a C content of ≤0.08. Implementation standards must meet cold rolling process requirements. The surface treatment is typically 2B (bright annealing and tempering after cold rolling), while some hot-rolled products have a No.1 finish.

Production Advantages and Applications of Ultra-Wide Stainless Steel Plate

Production Technology Advantages

Improved Material Utilization: Wide plate widths reduce welding steps and waste. For example, in canning and household utensils, material utilization can be increased by over 3%. Strong customization capabilities: Supports custom-sized cuts, surface processing (such as brushing and laminating), and patterning (punching and embossing), meeting special requirements such as high-speed rail passageways and non-slip countertops.

High performance stability: A cold-rolling process controls thickness accuracy, resulting in excellent elongation and low levels of harmful elements, making it suitable for demanding applications in nuclear power and marine equipment.
