Near-alpha titanium alloys are based on the alpha solid solution and contain 2% to 8% of the beta phase in the stable state. After rapid cooling from the beta zone, they contain 8% to 15% of the beta phase. The composition mainly consists of alpha-stable elements such as aluminum, tin, and zirconium, and a small amount of beta-stable elements such as molybdenum, vanadium, and manganese. They have excellent high-temperature creep resistance, good thermal stability, and excellent welding properties.

The α+β titanium alloy incorporates both α-stabilizing elements and β-stabilizing elements, resulting in simultaneous strengthening of both the α phase and the β phase. The addition amount of the β-stabilizing elements is 4% to 6%, mainly to obtain a sufficient quantity of the β phase, in order to improve the plasticity and formability of the alloy and endow the alloy with the ability of heat treatment strengthening.
